All the carrots are harvested! We planted a larger area this year, so it was quite the project looming on our calendar. With a great team, and persistance, all the carrots are now in the cooler waiting to be washed. The next root crop on the list is parsnips! I know many customers have been waiting patiently, and we should have them the first weekend of November.
Available at Markets: The strange warm weather has kept a slow trickle of raspberries going, but this is probably their last gasp. We've still plenty of cauliflower! My favorite quick romanesco cauliflower lunch: break bitesize florettes, saute in butter and oil with garlic and salt till heated through and slightly tender, and eat over pasta or cheesy toast. Yum!
