ONIONS AND SHALLOTS
Onions - we grow several types of onions. We grow sweet onions to sell fresh over the summer, and sharp onions to sell after they have been dried. We also grow red onions. We usually grow enough to sell at market from harvest time in mid-summer through the winter markets.
Shallots - Shallots, commonly mistaken for garlic at our stands, are similar in flavor and use to onions. They are slightly more mild and sweeter than an onion, but can be used interchangeably.
Store onions and shallots on the countertop.
