Rutabaga Fries

This recipe comes from two customers, both Mom’s with young kids. They bought rutabagas from us every week at Dupont Circle, and the kids loved the fries, and the Mom’s loved that the kids ate up this vegetable!

Ingredients

-rutabaga, peeled and cut into “fries,” use your kohlrabi peeler, these have a thicker skin
-oil
-herbs, spices, and salt to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 425F.
Toss rutabaga fries with a bit of oil and your favorite herbs.
Spread out on a baking sheet, and bake about 30 minutes, turning once or twice.
They’re done when crisp but cooked through and tender.
